Sustainability Projects Manager

F/T 36.5 hrs/wk. Fixed Term intially until 31st March 2015

(Extension Funding until June 2016 pending)

Salary: £25,759 - 29,837 (Grade 5)

AUSA is looking for a highly motivated individual who will be responsible for leading the Sustainable Futures team. The post holder will develop the existing Carbon School and Power Shift programmes and aim to raise our Green Impact standard.

A passion for sustainability initiatives is essential. A proven track record in project management and time management would be a distinct advantage.

Reporting to the Membership and Engagement Manager you will play a lead role in developing our sustainability projects including setting up new initiatives, managing the project budget, providing line management support to the staff team and working with and supporting our elected Officers and Environment and Ethics Committee.

Design and Communications Intern

Salary: £7.45 / hour (even if stated otherwise or previously)

Hours: 12 per week (split over 2 days)

We are seeking a creative and organised designer to join the Sustainable Futures team in the role of Design and Communications Intern. The ideal candidate will not only be a confident designer but also an excellent communicator; able to engage students through social media and a monthly e newsletter. The Intern will be based in a busy office at the Students’ Association with the Sustainable Futures team. An awareness and understanding of the Sustainable Futures project would be a distinct advantage as the Intern will be designing posters and flyers to promote the projects’ various activities and events. This is a fantastic opportunity for a student designer to develop a portfolio and gain some work experience in a fast-paced office environment.
