Class Reps

Who is a Class Rep?

Class Reps are elected student volunteers chosen by their fellow students who function as a vital link between staff and students, fostering and maintaining open dialogue to improve the students learning experience.

Class Reps are elected at the beginning of an academic year or semester and they represent your views and concerns, ensuring your courses and programmes are the best they can be. They work together with staff throughout the year, and have the opportunity to feedback at Student-Staff Liaison Committee (SSLC) meetings that are normally held once or twice a term.

How do I become a Class Rep?

Your course/proramme organiser will advertise the role and explain the process at the start of the academic year or semester. Let your course/programme coordinator know if you are interested in the position as soon as possible. If there are more volunteers than positions available, an election will be held.

If you are looking for more information about the role itself, please contact the Students' Union Reps Team at ausareps@abdn.ac.uk.
