Climate Week

Climate week – March 21 to 27

Communities, organisations and individuals across the UK are being asked to hold events, discussions, workshops and imaginative stunts to showcase Britain’s ambition and confidence to tackle climate change.

Because of this, Climate Change Project will not be registering its events with Climate Week, however, we will spend the week having even more fun and exciting events than usual to promote greener living. Stay updated on our facebook page, and sign up for news via e-mail here.

At the end of the week, we are supporting WWF's Earth Hour and invite you to join us!

Show you care by joining WWF’s Earth Hour – 26 March 2011, 8.30pm

WWF's Earth Hour is the world’s largest display of hope for a bright future. Hundreds of millions of people across the world will switch out their lights in a massive demonstration of their concern about tackling climate change and protecting the natural world.

Sign up here! This cool map shows which county has signed up the most people so far...

For some more information on Climate Week, RBS's vast and devastating carbon footprint, and to make your own mind up about whether RBS's support for Climate Week is merely a 'greenwash', have a look at the following links:

We were on board, until we found out that the key sponsor for this event is RBS, the UK bank most responsible for supporting fossil fuel companies and creating climate change.
