Your Students’ Association has the ability to represent you in many different ways. One of the key areas that is super important - is representing you where you’re having difficulties with your degree. We are committed to fighting for your rights as students and making sure that you get the best you can out of your degree. We value your opinions and are always interested in listening to what you have to say so that the President of Education and Employability can pass on your concerns to the relevant members of the University.
The Education Committee consists of about 20 members, which include the President and Vice President of Education, School Convenors, Postgraduate representives and ordinary members of the student body. We are all here to listen and represent you.
So please tell us your worries, concerns, what you don’t like and what you do like. Your opinions and thoughts matter to us!
This year there will be many campaigns to become involved in. Look below and to the side for more information.

The President for Education and Employability chairs the education and employability committees and has a remit over all things that relate to education and employability. This includes Joblink, Volunteering and Class Reps. I am here, along with my committee members, to help answer any and all questions/queries you may have about your studies at the University of Aberdeen and your concerns about finding a job after graduation. I’m also a member of Senate, the University Teaching and Learning Committees (both Undergraduate and Postgraduate level), the Employers Board and many other university committees, which is a perfect opportunity to take your concerns straight to the top. I also work closely with NUS – National Union of Students, making sure that AUSA is engaging with the issues that are relevant and important to students.

The Vice President Education sits on the Education Committee and works with the President for Education to make all things work smoothly, often supporting School Convenors and running education campaigns. The VP is a busy position but is always there to help.
You can contact the Vice President here.
The Education committee and the SA campaign on many issues that are important to students. We worked closely with the NUS to scrap the graduate endowment and to keep council tax free for students. Watch this space for the campaigns this year.
AUSA is a member of the National Union of Students (NUS) and we are often making sure that the NUS is representing the needs of Aberdeen Students in Edinburgh and London.
