Go Green Week
Go Green Week is a chance for all students and staff to get involved in sustainability on campus. Go Green Week is People and Planet's annual national week of action on climate change. Schools, colleges and universities all get involved by showcasing practical solutions to climate change. Each year AUSA organises a varied programme of events which can include thing like wildlife gardening, pedal powered film nights and building a plastic bottle greenhouse.
All of the Go Green Week events are free and open to all students and staff, some events are also open to the public. Often Go Green Week is combined with a number of campaigns. This year we pledged to save tonnes of carbon through the Climate Pledge. Students also got involved in a Sustainability Fund e-petition which aimed to get Universities to pledge £5 per year for sustainability projects.
