TOP TIPS TO HELP YOU FIND WORK
- Go to the AUSA Joblink Website – www.ausa.org.uk/joblink - and look through our job vacancies. Each advert contains details of how to apply.
- Look in the Local Papers, Evening Express (on a Wednesday) & the Press & Journal (on a Friday), as this has a range of jobs in and around Aberdeen. (www.eveningexpress.co.uk)
- Hit your local high street or shopping centre’s. Many jobs are advertised just by a poster or card in the window.
- Drop a copy of your CV into all the shops you would like to work in, even if they are not advertising vacancies in the window.
- Register with local Recruitment agencies, they may be able to offer ad hoc work.
- Pick up any free local newspapers / magazines that might have vacancy adverts in them.
- Check notice boards in newsagent’s windows too. Sign up with some local recruitment agencies. A full list of local agencies can be found on our website or in the AUSA Joblink Centre!
- Try big chains, many chains have a string of take-away’s, restaurants, cafes, pubs & Clubs
