Internal Opportunity - VegGarden

In developing and maintaining this garden, the Students’ Association, and the Garden volunteers hope to achieve a range of goals.  The original purpose of the Garden was to spread awareness of the importance of the environment, and the impact we can have on it.  Through the production of fruit and vegetables, the Garden also aims to promote healthier eating among students and staff at the University.  It has also been recently discovered that having contact with the natural environment has beneficial effects on peoples’ general well-being, and for people with mental health issues.  The Garden produce is also going to be used in the Fairtrade Café, which runs 12-2pm every Wednesday of term at the Chaplaincy.

If you want to get a valuable experience in working in and helping to run a student-led project with the above values and aims, please get in touch!
