Each year the Welfare and Equal Opportunities Committee’s decide on a number of different campaigns to run throughout the academic year.
Keep an eye out for our campaigns in 2010-2011. Make sure you contact the President Welfare and Equal Opportunities who will be on the loose all year- send them all your ideas and if YOU want to get involved!
Centre for Learning and Teaching
The Centre for Learning & Teaching provides advice and support for all aspects of learning, teaching and assessment. Through collaborations with Colleges, Schools and individuals, the Centre aims to enhance the quality of the University's educational provision and support its mission to 'be excellent in delivering teaching'.

Chaplaincy
The Chaplaincy is a specialised ministry with people in the midst of their daily lives. There is a Chaplaincy Centre at 25 High Street, right at the heart of the University, and there you can find resources and help for a wide variety of concerns. Part of the Student Support Services team, worship services, weddings and funerals are just the tip of the iceberg!

Condoms in the Post
Everyone knows the importance of safe sex. But sometimes it can be pretty inconvenient and awkward to get supplies yourself. That’s why AUSA Welfare is proud to offer you condoms to your door! All for free!
All you need to do is email infoadvice@abdn.ac.uk with your name and address from your Aberdeen Uni email account (Otherwise we cannot send you anything!) telling us what you would like. We will post you a generous supply of condoms, lube, femidoms. Whatever you ask for!
You can request the following:
• Condoms (Trim, regular and large are available as are non latex)
• Lubricant
• Dental Dams
• Femidoms
• Self testing kits for chlamydia and gonorrhea (Specify male or female)
We will pop them in the post and have them with you ASAP!!
Counselling
The counselling service is free and open to all students and members of staff at the University of Aberdeen. They are there to explore any matter which are causing you concern or distress- whether emotional, social or connected to your work or studies. You can book an appointment by calling, emailing or popping into the office. Full contact details can be found in the Useful Contacts section to the right.

Info and Advice Centre
What is it?
The AUSA Info and Advice centre is located on the first floor of the Butchart centre and provides you with a one stop shop for all you advice needs.
From health to accommodation, bus times to free condoms feel free to pop in with any question, query or issue you may have. With so many departments and people to ask getting help with your issues can often be daunting, but regardless of your issue, uni related or not the Info & Advice centre is there for you.

-student funding opportunities, including SAAS and the hardship fund

Niteline
During the night we run Niteline. Its a fully confidential and student run listening service for all your problems and concerns. The number is 01224 272829 and is manned between 8pm and 8am, whether you have a personal problem you want to chat about, stressful situation you want to talk over or simply want the nearest pizza take away - help is only a call away.
STI Testing Kits
Testing for STIs has never been easier! We provide both male and female testing kits in the Info and Advice Centre- or you can eve request that they be sent to your home address- just see the ‘Condoms in the Post’ section above.
Student Advice and Support Office
The Student Advice and Support team are here to make your time at university a bit more comfortable and easier if they can possibly manage it. They are based in the Student Advice & Support Office and can offer confidential advice, information and support on personal matters, University procedures and more.
