AUSA run StudentJob in conjunction with the University of Aberdeen Careers Service.
The role of StudentJob is to enable the efficient exchange of information about part-time, temporary and vacation employment opportunities between employers and University of Aberdeen students.
The standard service is free to employers; however the service can also be tailored to your specific recruitment needs for a small fee.
Any employer requiring staff on a part-time, temporary or vacation basis or those wishing to identify potential students for graduate employment can use the service.
- Employers should not expect students to work more than 20 hours per week during term time.
- Employers must pay all students employed via StudentJob the National Minimum Wage for a 21 year old or over, irrespective of their age.
- Employers are welcomed from all employment sectors. To advertise your vacancy you must register with us first.
If you wish to advertise your vacancy with us, you can do so by registering with the CareerConnect system here.

Attending a Part-Time Jobs Fair: Employers are encouraged to attend StudentJob Fairs which will be held annually at the University of Aberdeen campus. Attending the Fair is a great way of recruiting suitable, talented candidates for any current or anticipated future vacancies your organisation might have. By attending the Fair your organisation will also have an opportunity to market its brand to students and increase its visibility amongst students at the University of Aberdeen.
Meet and Greet Days: Meet and Greet Days are an excellent method of meeting student jobseekers face to face whilst promoting your vacancies. Application forms can be distributed, interviews performed and names and contact details taken. The cost also includes promotional emails to students and the use of one of our meeting rooms or a stall in our cafe.
This is an excellent opportunity to have a physical presence on campus and allow you the opportunity to meet with students face to face and discuss job opportunities.
