Event Description

Creative Writing Society Give-It-A-Go

TBC

Thursday 23 September 2021 at 6pm - 10pm

Welcome back!

After only being able to meet online for more than a year, we're excited to say that we're finally back! At our Give-It-A-Go session, you'll get a taste of what a normal meeting is like. You'll be introduced to the society, chat with our lovely members and go through a booklet curated by the committee. If there's time, we'll also play some games together!

About us

The Aberdeen University Creative Writing Society was founded during the 1980s to offer students a platform to share, develop, read, and listen to creative pieces of writing. More than 30 years later, we’re still going strong!

If you enjoy creative writing and want to get involved, please join us at our weekly meetings! We meet every Thursday at 6pm. For more information, please go to our social media pages where we’ll keep you updated on all our events.

At every meeting, we have a booklet. Our members can send in their writing to have it featured in the booklet and receive feedback. If you’d like to enter a submission anonymously, mention that in your submission email – you’ll still receive feedback for your work at the meeting.

Submissions can be sent to us at creative.writing@ausa.org.uk

COVID

All people attending this event in person will be required to fill out the "Test and Protect" form provided by AUSA, which will allow us to keep track of attendees. Members of the committee will check this before you're allowed to enter. There will also be hand sanitiser available and we will make sure to maintain social distancing in the interest of keeping everyone safe.
