Ahoy! Once again, the time has come for our termly Sittning/sitsit!

For those unaware, sittning/sitsit is a traditional Nordic dinner party with plenty of singing and drinking. We will enjoy a good dinner, drink and sing drinking songs both in the Nordic languages and in English. Sittning/sitsit is one of the Nordic Society’s main events, and most definitely a night not to be missed! 

This term we’ll be hosting our informal and themed Sittning/sitsit. Our annual formal sittning is scheduled for next term.

The event will be held at Spin (where we had our Pub Quiz!), and the theme this term is Booze Cruise! This theme can be interpreted however you want, so feel free to get as imaginative and creative as you will! Want to go as a tourist? Maybe a deckhand? Anything goes! After an evening of Lambo, Helan går, Ei tippa tapa and other more or less inappropiate favorites we’ll be heading to town to continue the party.

This event will be for Nordic Society members only, so make sure you have bought your membership (https://www.ausa.org.uk/societies/society/7116/)!

Ticket price is 30£ per person and includes a three course dinner, a glass of bubbly and a shot. We’re holding the ticket sale NEXT FRIDAY (22nd October), cash only. Tickets sell out fast so make sure to be in time for the sale, and remember to check the menu (found in the Discussion of the event on Facebook) and have your food choices ready.
