Welcome to the Aberdeen Students' Charities Campaign homepage. ASCC or "Charities" as it is affectionately known is one of the country's longest-running fundraising campaign of its kind. Every year thousands of students from across Aberdeen's Higher Education Establishments (University of Aberdeen, RGU and Aberdeen College) work tirelessly to organise events and collections to raise tens of thousands of pounds for local and national charities, groups and projects across Aberdeen, the North-East and on a national level.
In 2007-08, the campaign disbursed £50,000 to over 60 deserving groups and projects with a wide range of age-groups benefiting.
In 2008-09, the campaign successful raised £92,000 and disbursed £74,000 to around 40 local charities and project groups.
Events in the Charities Campaign calendar include the annual Student Show at HMT (the most successful charity musical in the country), the Torcher Parade (the largest student torch-light parade in Europe), the Fashion Show, Jailbreak, several pub crawls, gigs, hitchhikes, bike rides, street collections and many, many more!
The Charities Campaign is open to everyone and allows you to try almost anything. Join us and take part in some of our numerous events throughout the year, be part of the largest charity events in the country and maybe we will see you there.
