ABDN Surf is the club you did not expect when coming to Aberdeen, but we guarantee that it will be the club you will never forget. 20 years after its creation, the club has become a community like no other and is always growing in numbers. The club is open to everyone, students and non-students alike, regardless of your level of experience.
You don't have to be a pro surfer or own your own gear to surf with us. You can come along to our sessions and get tuition starting from the basics, catching your first wave and how to progress. I you're more experienced you can hit us up to join our brand new competition team! We supply all the gear you'll need to surf and keep warm in the water so all you need is a swimsuit, towel and some snacks.
Every week we run socials, surfs and a swim session plus a big trip or two each semester. Expect surfing surrounded by the most stunning Scottish scenery in Thurso. Expect a week of sun, surf and nights out in Newquay for the largest surf competition in Europe. Expect pub and flat crawls, BBQ's, gear auctions and garden parties. Expect special surf trips to Portugal, Spain, France and Ireland.
