Welcome to The UASO - The University of Aberdeen Symphony Orchestra!
UASO is a Community based Orchestra, comprised of music students, students of all degrees, and non-students, bringing together musical talent from across the University and Aberdeen City. Meeting weekly in UoA's King's Pavilion, the Orchestra aims to provide a safe place for ensemble members to hone their skills and engage with others of similar likes, talents, and interests.
Meeting weekly, UASO aims to hold two concerts per year, one at the end of each semester. Members and sub-groups of the orchestra also take part in multiple charity or community concerts throughout the year. UASO is open to people of a wide range of musical abilities, from school string orchestra players to budding future professionals. We rehearse weekly on Monday nights with visits to the Bobbin afterwards, providing a proper chance for orchestra members to get to know one another and make friends. For £30, come and join and help us make incredible music together!
