Come along and join the Aberdeen University Concert Band for fun, friendships and a whole lot of music!

The concert band is a non-auditioned community ensemble, open to students and staff of the university, as well as anyone around and out-with the university community. The band always plays a wide variety of music, from film scores to band classics and anything in between. There's something for every taste and performing ability! All we ask is that you play a brass, woodwind or percussion instrument. This semester, we will be able to meet back in person for rehearsals! We rehearse on a Tuesday from 6pm-8pm. This year we will rehearse in King’s Pavilion and be conducted by Sam Paul.

Our first rehearsal this semester will be Tuesday 12th October 2021.

Our concert this semester will be held in the Music Hall in collaboration with University of Aberdeen Symphony Orchestra on Sunday 5th December 2021.

In previous years the band was conducted by Eric Kidd and Mark James, performing two successful concerts in Butchart and the Beach Ballroom. In Winter 2019 we performed a fantastic concert conducted by Sam Paul in St Machar's Cathedral.
