Welcome to AIESEC (eye-sec) in Aberdeen, the local branch of the world's largest youth-led organization, with over 39,000 members in 109 countries.
Offering students a unique opportunity, we are so much more than just another society; with international recognition, a huge network of alumni and current members, affiliation with the UN and opportunities to attend conferences throughout the year, we help you to develop practical skills that will enable you to stand out, make a difference and be involved with an active community, building close friendships both in Aberdeen as well as across the UK (and maybe even the world!)

What we do
At our core, AIESEC does exchanges. Through our membership, you facilitate these exchanges, helping to send local students on international exchanges around the world. We encourage people to step outside their comfort zones, providing a supportive environment to learn something new and develop. We are operating this semester with project based membership, so you will contribute to a project relating to either business or health through our marketing or sales team, or join our B2B team who contact UK companies to create new internships. We don't require you to have any experience at all, we only ask that you want to learn and grow
Exchanges
AIESEC offers international, cross cultural exchanges. Operating in over 100 countries, we have plenty of destinations available however our main partners are Tunisia, Portugal, Italy, Sri Lanka and Mexico. Specialising in volunteering projects, we offer a variety of opportunities for students in medicine, business and education to name just a few. Accommodation is provided on all volunteering projects, as well as a leadership development certificate after completion, other benefits may be included depending on the project. Alongside volunteering, we have teaching and internship opportunities, although these are more targeted towards graduates. There is a fee associated with going on an exchange, although nothing is due until after you have been accepted onto a project and signed the contract.
We operate as a business, self-sufficient with finance, operations and our own back-office team. With our mascot, Snazzy, at our side, there is nothing we cannot achieve. Alongside this, we have a variety of socials, networking opportunities, events and conferences. There are 3 national conferences a year, two for all members to attend and one for our leadership team. These are fantastic opportunities to meet others with similar interests from universities across the UK, share ideas and also have LOADS of fun - yes, fun at a conference!
*Due to AIESEC international regulation, you need to go through a short selection process before you're officially a member. We have rounds of recruitment in September and January*
A bit about AIESEC
We strive for peace and fulfillment of humankind's potential by activating leadership qualities in young people through challenging environments. Founded just after WW2 by a small group of students from 6 different countries across Europe to help promote cross-cultural understanding and prevent future wars by creating value driven leaders through the 6 AIESEC values. While we are still no where closer to this mission, it remains the same. Through helping students explore new cultures through exchange and develop leadership skills through both membership and our exchange there is never a dull moment.
