We run a variety of social events throughout the year including pub quizzes, game nights, movies and more. Our upcoming event:

Pizza Meet and Greet, 29th March at 5pm

On Tuesday the 29th of March we will be bringing back our annual pizza meet and greet!

Join us in G15, St Marys at 5pm to get free pizza and to meet fellow geography students, the committee and lecturers! It's a great way to meet students from all year groups or catch up with classmates!

The event will be followed by our monthly Bobbin social so make sure you join us there after. More details to follow about this.

If you have any questions, please drop us a message.

Bobbin Social, 29th March at 6.30pm

Our geography students pizza meet and greet will be followed by a social get together at The Bobbin with the Anthropology and Thai Societies.
The Bobbin is just a 5 minute walk from the university and is also one of our sponsors this year, so please come along to support the society.
This event is open to everyone, whether you study geography or not. Come along and meet other geography students, or just other students in general.

Geography and Geology AGM, 30th March at 8pm Online

After the success of the Geoscience Ball, we have decided to join forces with geology and create a combined society from this year onwards.

As a result we will be holding an AGM to elect members of the committee for the new society. The event will be held online, with a link to join being released soon. The committee will contain a mixture of geology and geography students.

Positions on offer are:
-President x2
-Social Secretary x2
-Trip Secretary
-Covid/Risk/Wellbeing Assessment Officer
-Year Representatives

If you want to run for a position, you simply need to be a paid member of the society and tell us at the event why you think you would be suitable for the position - introduce yourself, why you think you would be a good at the role. A simple majority wins, votes will be anonymous.

This is a brilliant opportunity to become involved with the society and is great for your CV.

If you have any questions as to what each position involves, then please just message the page and we would be happy to help!
