Clay Pigeon Shooting is inclusive to all genders and levels of experience, and we welcome enquiries from those with a disability regarding the accessibility of Clay Pigeon Shooting. The club offers weekly practice sessions at Seal’s Cove Shooting Ground on the south side of Aberdeen; and competitive opportunities against other universities at the St Andrews Challenge and the Edinburgh University Championships. 2020 will see Aberdeen University Clay Pigeon Club host the inaugural inter-club “Red Trouser Challenge.”

Introduction
We aim to make clay shooting as accessible & affordable as possible. We provide a safe, friendly & relaxed atmosphere whether you’re a seasoned shot or you’ve yet to pick up a gun. For those that continue shooting with us we run lots of practice sessions.
AUCPC offers multiple shooting opportunities. We organise taster sessions, hold regular practices, arrange coaching and take part in university competitions. Unlike many sports played at the University, Clay Pigeon Shooting does not compete in team-against-team (head-to-head) fixtures. Instead, we take part in challenge events where multiple teams from all over the UK take part in a tournament, which typically lasts a whole day.
Being part of the club allows you access to all the equipment needed. Shooting session costs start at only £15, which is by far the most affordable cost for clay pigeon shooting locally or in comparison to any other university shooting club – a fantastic bargain considering that it takes into account the cost of transport; clays; use of the premises; and ammunition for the shotgun.

Training
Training sessions are held every Saturday at Seal’s Cove Shooting Ground; these sessions are very informal, and we encourage you to attend whatever your ability. The Club leaves from outside the Butchart Recreation Centre on University Road at 11:00 am on Saturdays. Numbers are limited to first-come-first-served by the drivers we have available; a post will go up on our Facebook page every Wednesday for members to secure their place.
