Aberdeen University Golf Club (AUGC) enjoy a busy competitive and social schedule, playing in some of the major University golf events in the UK, as well as having a wide variety of social events off the course.
We are a mixed club who play our golf at Royal Aberdeen Golf Club and Aberdeen Ladies Golf Club to the north of the city (close by to Hillhead Halls of Residence). Both our 1st and 2nd team play their matches over the links at Royal Aberdeen, which have previously hosted events such as the Walker Cup, the Scottish Open and the British Amateur. We try to play as much as we can throughout the academic year, hosting other University teams in BUCS matches as well as having various inter-club competitions and social matches away from home.
We are also lucky to have Kings Links Golf Centre as one of our main sponsors and driving range partner. Located only ten minutes walk from campus, our teams practice there weekly, and we also offer beginner’s golf sesions, so that golfers of all abilities are able to join the club.
Outside of golf we have regular social evenings throughout the semester and have club meals at the end of each semester. We have good ties with many of the major bars and clubs in Aberdeen, including Atik. Our buoyant socials are a key part of the club's calendar and are not to be missed.
