Interested in playing lacrosse? Not surprised! Lacrosse is not only one of the fastest growing sports at the University of Aberdeen, but also around the World. Referred to as 'the fastest game on two feet’, the sport was founded by the Native Americans. It is a full contact, high speed sport that requires top-level fitness, quick decision making, and a willingness to learn. If you have played any sport, you will have an advantage on the lacrosse pitch.

So are you keen to try? … Perhaps nervous about never having played before? Don’t worry ... Nearly 90% of our club had not picked up a stick before their first training session.

AUMLC welcomes all so we can have the best, most diverse club possible. We normally host weekly socials, training, fitness, and film sessions. Our social calendar is pretty extensive, with socials on Wednesday's, a Christmas Meal, an annual Lacrosse Ball, an annual Tour in association with our counterpart women’s club, and more! Recently tours, we have travelled to Germany, Spain, Dublin and Croatia. So it is something not to be missed!

The training schedule is as follows:

• Tuesdays — 1st Team training @ Aberdeen Sports Village (Downstairs Track) (8:30-10:30 PM)

• Wednesdays are BUCS League Games for our 1st team.

• Sunday — Club-wide training @ Kings Pavilion Pitches (12:00-2:00 PM)

Our 1st Team primarily focuses on the BUCS league. ‘Friendly’ matches are open to all club members to compete and work on honing their skills. During the 2022-23 season we look to restart our fixtures as soon as safely possible though are looking to take this opportunity to improve and expand our club.

We are hoping to make this one of our best years yet, so if you have any questions please feel free to get in contact: lacrosse.men@ausa.org.uk You can find us on Facebook by liking ‘Aberdeen University Men’s Lacrosse Club’, and check out our Instagram @lacrosseaberdeen, to keep up to date with all the latest from AUMLC.
