The Lairig club is the University of Aberdeen mountaineering club. We are a friendly bunch of outdoor enthusiasts who love exploring the hiking, climbing, ski touring and running that Scotland's mountains have to offer. If you're looking to explore the brilliant scenery of Scotland whilst learning new skills, come join us!

We organise fortnightly weekend trips to mountain huts across Scotland, where members walk, climb and often sit round an open fire sharing stories. The locations we visit change every year, but some of our favourites include the beautiful Torridon, Glen Coe and Assynt. We also meet on a weekly basis to climb at the local climbing wall or our sea cliffs, followed by drinks at the pub. Get psyched!

Our club is open to anyone who wants to get involved. There is a range of skill levels from complete beginners to those who have been climbing and hiking for years. No matter your level, there is plenty to get involved in. We have both experienced members and training events with instructors so that you can learn the skills needed to have safe adventures in the hills.

By joining us you get access to:
- Weekends away with an inspiring crew
- Navigation and climbing training
- Discounts at our sponsor stores (Craigdon, Tiso, Cotswolds)
- Club equipment

- Mountaineering Scotland membership upon request.

Can’t wait to meet you!
