Volunteering

Getting involved with your community through volunteering has many benefits, from new friendships and fun activities to gaining transferable skills and valuable experience. There are a number of ways to get started with Volunteering here in Aberdeen

Volunteer With the Students' Union

The Students' Union hosts a variety of opportunities to get involved with volunteering; in fact, you may already be volunteering without knowing it.

You can volunteer with the Students' Union through,

  • Serving as Committee members of Student Societies & Sports Clubs
  • Becoming a Class Rep in your University Course / Module
  • Signing Up to Volunteer at events such as Welcome Week
  • Joining initiatives such as the Sustainability Advocates.
  • Applying to be a Student Trustee on the Students' Union Charity Trustee board (When a Vacancy Occurs)

Our work can change from year to year, so be sure to check our Social Media and Instagram for any new things coming up!

Further to this, there are opportunities to volunteer with some external organisations through student societies and charities as well. See a full list of active Societies here Clubs, Societies, and Groups
