Language Ball 2026
The Spanish and Latin American Society is proud to present Language Ball 2026, hosted by us with the support of the French Society. This rebranded evening brings together students from across the university for one of the most exciting and elegant events of the semester.
The ball will take place on 12th March 2026 at the Douglas Hotel in Aberdeen. The dress code is black tie formal, giving you the perfect excuse to dress up, take proper photos, and enjoy a night that feels truly special.
Although the event is organised by the Spanish and Latin American Society, Language Ball is open to absolutely everyone. You do not need to be a member of any society. You do not need to study languages. You do not need to speak Spanish or French. If you are a student at the University of Aberdeen, you are invited.
Your £47 ticket includes a full formal evening at one of Aberdeen’s most beautiful venues, a seated meal, entertainment, and a lively dance floor to finish the night. This is more than just a night out. It is a complete black tie experience and one of the main social highlights of the semester.
Language Ball is about celebrating community, culture and connection across the university. Whether you come with friends, flatmates, course mates or on your own, you will be part of a welcoming and vibrant atmosphere designed to bring everyone together.
Tickets are available now and must be purchased before the end of February. Spaces are limited and we expect demand to be high, so we strongly encourage securing your ticket as soon as possible.
We cannot wait to celebrate with you and make this a night to remember.
