For the first time in YEARS, we’re SO excited to be able to celebrate Vappu with you all again!!

For those unaware, Vappu is a Finnish tradition celebrating the official end of winter. It’s one of the biggest holidays in Finland, with students all around donning their student caps and taking to town to day-drink. If you brought your student cap to Aberdeen, this is the perfect opportunity to wear it (yes, that includes non-Finns!)

We’ll start off outside New King’s at 1 pm to perform the ’lakitus’ ceremony. The rest of the afternoon will be spent in the secret garden on campus (a map will be provided closer to the event)

We’ll provide some drinks and snacks but please feel free to BYOB if you wish for an authentic experience (alcoholic or not ). ?
