Bonjour à tous et à toutes !

The Aberdeen University French Society offers a chance to be immersed in the French language and in francophone cultures.

Our social events include cheese & wine evenings, cooking nights and film nights. We also arrange regular Language Exchanges, where we bring our French (or Franglais) speaking skills out for the evening. It is the perfect opportunity to practice the language in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. They'll be held at Triple Kirks this year, who are our sponsors. With this sponsorship, our members receive monthly discounts on various food and drink options!

Our society is open to francophones, French language students, everyone who has an interest in the French language or francophone cultures, and to those who just enjoy good food or a glass of fine French wine! Many of our society are students of the University of Aberdeen, some of whom study French and some of whom are native French speakers but we also welcome non-students!

Together with the German and Hispanic societies, we also host the annual Languages Ball.

The French Drama Group is a new venture on campus, which will not only be looking for actors but also for those interested in behind-the-scenes, supporting roles and is yet another opportunity to enjoy the language and culture that we are so passionate about.

Venez nombreux !

Anybody studying French will receive our emails automatically but if you are not, just send us an email and we can add you to our mailing list for the year. You can also find us on Facebook to keep up to date with our latest events.
