Welcome to Aberdeen University Gymnastics Club!
Whether you want to learn how to do a cartwheel, or you've been flipping your entire life, everyone is welcome at Aberdeen Gymnastics!
We welcome all abilities and experience levels and disciplines into our club, specialising in mens and womens artistic gymnasics. Our expertly qualified and friendly coaches will help you have a fun and rewarding time all thoughout the year and we pride ourselves on the inclusive and welcoming environment we offer to all our members.
Throughout the year we enter competitions across the UK ranging from beginner level to elite in a variety of events, including BUCs (British University Championships), UGC (University Gymnastics Cup), SUGC (Scottish University Gymnastics Championships) and in-house competitions. Of course, competing is not compulsory, however they allow you to meet other gymnasts from all over the UK, have a fun weekend with new found friends and escape Aberdeen for some sun!
Throughout the year we will also have external training sessions outside of our regular scheduled sessions at other gymnastics gyms for a change of scenery, a training weekend somewhere in Scotland with other Scottish universities (which is so much more than just training with having socials and a possible celeidh - overall just a really fun time!) and the opportunity to go abroad with other Scottish Unis for a week of gym, fun and sun.
Ontop of trainings and competitions we also have a variety of socials that are regulary organised, from meals out, to activies like ice skating, to nights out to get to have a great time outside of training and build up our friendships and memories. You really won't ever be bored in this club as there is always something going on to suit everyone!

Wednesday afternoons --> 1pm - 3pm @ Langstracht Gymnastics Centre TBC
Friday evenings --> 6:15pm - 8:15pm @ Silverburn Gymnastics Centre
Basics trianings:
Tuesday evenings --> 8pm - 10pm @ Aberdeen Sports Village
Sunday afternoons --> 1pm - 3pm @ Butchart Main Hall
Our membership prices 2024/25
Basic membership: access to the Butchart weekly trainings and our socials! Includes insurance in the event of injury. Choose between:
- Full year: £35
- One term only: £20
Apparatus membership: access to the Wednesday apparatus training sessions! Requires basic membership for insurance purposes.
- One term: £33
