Become a Volunteer
Volunteering during Freshers’ Week is one of the most rewarding things you can be involved with!
We have three main roles and the responsibilities are:
•Talking to new students and making them feel at home.
•Providing information about Aberdeen, AUSA, University life and anything else that comes your way, but don’t worry, there will be people there to help.
•Giving directions around campus.
•Providing advice on where to go and what to do during Freshers’ Week.
•Being friendly and having a smile on your face!
Event Support Volunteer
•Assist in the smooth running operation of various events being held during Freshers’ Week.
•Help with set up, dismantle and clean up.
•Give directions to events.
Freshers’ Fayre Volunteer
•Assist in the smooth running of both the Sports and Societies Fayres during Freshers’ Week.
•Helping with directions.
•Set up, dismantle and clean up.
•Crowd and line control.
•Assisting Societies/Sports Clubs and externals find and set up their stalls.
There may also be opportunities to become a Volunteer Teamleader, more information on this at the training.

You must attend one of the following mandatory training sessions on either the 29th or 31st August 2017.
In return for your precious time and wonderful smiles, you’ll receive:
•A Freshers’ Week Volunteer t-shirt.
•A free Wristband so you can attend events when you are not volunteering.
•Free food and refreshments at events.
•A Volunteer Certificate.

•A Thank-you party.
