We're looking for your ideas on how we can improve student lives. Whether it's a small change that you think will make campus life easier, or a big policy idea that will influence the future of the University, we want to hear from you.

What happens to my suggestion?

 

 

All suggestions that reach 10 votes or more within 4 weeks, will receive a written response from the officers, outlining how we will respond or are already responding to the SU-ggestion, or what factors mean we might not be able to implement the suggestion.

If your idea relates to the establishment of a policy and reaches 30 votes or more within 4 weeks, it will be considered for a debate at our Student Council.

    Please stop using ASV for Fresher's Fair

    Last year's Fair was hell for many of us & can't believe AUSA are having it there again. An hour plus in a claustrophobic, one-way queue then a vast, sensorily overwhelming hall and the perception (if not reality) of dangerous overcrowding. Even last year's Sabbs were on the balcony looking concerned at how jammed it was getting, so why are you repeating this?

    Tell us more about why you want the Students' Union to do it

    Trying to promote every activity in one chaotic room in one day effectively discourages neurodivergent students from joining societies/getting involved in AUSA. Also you had a counters-in-box vote on this issue at Refreshers (whether students wanted to keep ASV or go back to it being in Butchart over a few days) and the result looked very close - would be good to know what it was.
