We're looking for your ideas on how we can improve student lives. Whether it's a small change that you think will make campus life easier, or a big policy idea that will influence the future of the University, we want to hear from you.

What happens to my suggestion?

 

 

All suggestions that reach 10 votes or more within 4 weeks, will receive a written response from the officers, outlining how we will respond or are already responding to the SU-ggestion, or what factors mean we might not be able to implement the suggestion.

If your idea relates to the establishment of a policy and reaches 30 votes or more within 4 weeks, it will be considered for a debate at our Student Council.

    Working CCTV in Butchart

    Pressure Estates to fix non-functional CCTV cameras in Butchart and install new ones, to ensure all entrances to the building and the entrances to all SU storage cupboards are covered.

    Tell us more about why you want the Students' Union to do it

    To help keep Students safe and Students Union storage spaces secure. Currently if anything happens in Butchart, there is no way to prove who was in the building or to identify intruders. Access to SU storage spaces is poorly managed by ASV and no record of access is kept.

4pm on 1 Dec 25 Hey there! I've contacted Estates to check up on the situation with the cameras, please let SU Sport know if there's any issues so we can work to get them fixed asap! The storage spaces currently have a sign in - sign out system for the keys, and the attendants should be following this to keep everyone's stuff safe. We're currently reviewing how access to storage spaces works, and we'll try to implement a new system in the new year, ensuring everyone is safe and equipment is stored correctly by all!
