What happens to my suggestion?

All suggestions that reach 10 votes or more, will receive a written response from the officer page, outlining how we will respond or are already responding to the SU-ggestion, or what factors mean we might not be able to implement the suggestion.

If your idea relates to the establishment of a policy and reaches 30 votes or more, it will be considered for a debate at our Student Council.

Introducing a night shift for Sir Duncan

    Current
    • Other
Open the Sir Duncan Rice Library during the exam period overnight with temporary staff to monitor and maintain the library to allow students more freedom to study during the night Monitor the amount of students coming in during these hours to see whether this suggestion is viable in comparison to the electricity and water bills needed to keep the library open. If successful, consider implementing it to a standard time (example: overnight shift for Friday, weekends) Responsibilities for these jobs would include cleanliness, shutting off unnecessary lights, and maintaining library rules.

Tell us more about why you want the Students' Union to do it

Enable students to have the freedom to study where they are unable to do so during the day due to circumstances, i.e. jobs, class scheduling
