Sewing Training with Aberdeen Sewing Machines

This introductory session will teach you the basics of machine and hand sewing. By the end of the training, you should be able to make a basic item like a headband, bookmark, pillowcase etc. from up-cycled materials and gain the following skills: - How to thread and use a sewing machine safely
- Basic sewing machine troubleshooting
- Using a machine to produce strong and tidy seams
- Hemming stitches by hand
- Carting a strong seam by hand using a backstitch

No previous experience is required, everyone is welcome to attend.

This is a small group training, so trainers from Aberdeen Sewing Machines will be able to spend a lot of time supporting each individual. Certificates will be issued to participants upon completion.
