Week 8 (19th - 25th August)

WEEK 8

Oh how time flies when you’re having fun!

On Tuesday I attended my first ever Old Aberdeen Community Council meeting with Louise and Alexander. There we discussed the issues going on in the local area and how these could affect students. These meetings are open to all Old Aberdeen residents, if you are interested in being involved email Louise at ausacommunities@abdn.ac.uk for more details. The next meeting is 17th September, dates for all future meetings along with more information on OACC can be found on their website http://www.oldaberdeen.org.uk/ or in their Facebook group https://www.facebook.com/groups/2250937435231764/

On Wednesday I filmed a video to introduce students to BUCS Play, the new platform for all BUCS fixtures. Keep your eyes peeled for the full post on it tomorrow evening. In the meantime check out the website https://bucs.playwaze.com/

On Friday, the whole sabb team took part in a Belbin team building session with the university’s Staff Development department. It was really worthwhile session and will definitely have a positive impact on the sabb team – after all, teamwork makes the dream work
