Week 29 (13th - 18th January)

The weekly updates are back and WOW, what a week it has been!

On Monday we kicked off the week with our Refreshers' Fayre at Union Brew. This was a basically smaller version of September's Freshers Fayre, run over four days from Monday to Thursday. Although I didn't have a chance to catch many of you whilst the Fayres were running (as I was running around doing events all week) I hope it all went well and you got lots of sign ups for this semester!

Tuesday was a very busy day! I started off the day with the University's Honorary Graduation Ceremony with Cecilia and Dariya (pictured). Not only did get the chance to meet HRH Duchess of Rothesay, HRH Princess Royal, and Prof. Janet Darbyshire, I also got the chance to meet some of our amazing Sports Bursars! After the graduation I headed back to the office for the AUSA Trustee Board meeting with the sabb team and our CEO. I then went to host our Refreshers pub quiz and from there went to go staff University of Aberdeen Hockey and AUSA RAG - Aberdeen University Students' Association Raising and Giving 24 Hour Hockey from 10pm-2.30am

On Wednesday, Danielle Ausa and I attended the ASV Monitoring Group meeting with senior management from ASV and the university.

On Thursday I helped out with interviews for AUSA's new student staff positions. Then in the evening my Sports Union Committee and I attended the January Student Counil meeting where I spoke on the Demilitarise Campus policy and the motion to lobby for AUSA access to Butchart Recreational Centre.

On Friday the sabbs and AUSA senior management had our by-weekly meeting to discuss what's been going on over the past wee while. I also helped run the Refreshers' Ceilidh up at the Hillhead GP Hall on Friday night.

Finally, on Saturday I attended AberGreen's Carbon Literacy course. It was an insightful day and I'm happy to say I know know more about my carbon footprint than I ever have before!
