Update time! To say the last two weeks have been hectic would be an understatement!
Kicking off with week beginning the 3rd – I spent most of this week working with our Events & Fundraising Co-ordinator prepping for Sports Ball on the Thursday. On Tuesday, Danielle and I attended the final meeting of the Sporting Ambition Working Group. This is the group that was mandated to work towards creating an institutional Sports Strategy for Aberdeen and has (since May) made little progress – an issue that AUSA has taken to Principle Boyne. Also on Tuesday we had we had our February Student Council meeting – a full live stream of the meeting can be found here https://www.facebook.com/abdnunisa/videos/173433170647862/
Wednesday as you can imagine was mainly Sports Ball prep before the big day arrived on Thursday. Aside from some speech nerves, I had a great night and I hope you all did too (and there weren’t too many sore heads in the morning). Sports Ball is a truly great event – it’s the one day of the year where I be with all of you to talk about your successes and why you all make Aberdeen so wonderful. Thank you for a great evening! Pics should be up tonight!

Moving on to the week just past, on Monday I was working from home due to illness.
On Tuesday I spent most of the day catching up on work from the week prior and later prepping for the AUSA Annual General Meeting. If you weren’t able to come along to the AGM you can find a full live stream here https://www.facebook.com/abdnunisa/videos/1014731418910722/
On Wednesday I had a meeting with our new Union Brew Events Co-ordinator to chat about some upcoming events – keep your eye out for those
On Thursday Louise, Alex, and I were up at Foresterhill for one of our election info sessions. If you’re a Foresterhill student and you haven’t been to our space on the campus yet it’s in Polwarth, room 2.33.
To round that all off, on Friday I was off ill due to illness however after a restful weekend I’m feeling far better and I’m back in the office.
