The prejudice towards Muslims has been a systematic devastation across the world. Through the wars, mass murders and horrors witnessed, the process of 'Othering' has been one horrifying effect from which Refugees continue to suffer through. They are characterized as outsiders, judged and negatively stereotyped- with much of the hate they receive stemming from them being Muslims.
How have Refugees become victims of Othering? Why is Islam perceived in such a way today?
