LGBTQ+ Gaylidh 2019

The LGBTQ+ Forum is delighted to announce the 2019 Gaylidh: our biggest event of the year! Join us in the Anatomy rooms for a night of fabulous ceilidh dancing, a raffle, and of course our annual Gaylidh Awards. We’ll be fundraising for OurStory Scotland, and anyone over 18 is welcome, so invite every queer you know!

Our standard tickets are £15, grab one by following the purchase link above.
You can also choose to 'pay it forward' for £5 and help one of your LGBTQ+ friends who are struggling financially.

As we do every year, we’re also offering a number of sponsored tickets, because we want the Gaylidh to be accessible to as many people as possible. If you are struggling financially and aren’t able to afford a full price ticket, message us on facebook or send us an email at lgbtq.forum@abdn.ac.uk .

In previous years, multiple people have offered to buy a ticket on behalf of someone else, so this year we’ve decided to add a pay-it-forward option. Buying one of these helps us pay for the sponsored tickets for people who otherwise might not be able to attend.

See you on the night! <3

AWARDS

As you all know, the LGBTQ+ Community is created by wonderful people who support each other, and who work hard to ensure that our university, Aberdeen, and the world beyond become a safer place for queer folks.

Every year, we celebrate this strength and dedication with an Awards ceremony on the night of the Gaylidh.
These awards were created to acknowledge and thank the wonderful people who make up our community.

This can be for anything from representing you in student council, to taking you to your first pride, to putting on regular events, to setting you up for your first queer date.

Do you know someone who deserves an award?
Nothing is too small: if they've supported you and you want to thank them, nominate them through this link, and they might receive a Gaylidh Award with their name on it!
