The films selected for the final weeks of Below the line exhibit the potential of experimental filmmaking. The flexible nature of experimental praxis means that there are fewer controls dictating how filmmakers should capture and display their subject matter in comparison to the formal and commercial constraints of the mainstream cinema industry. The films which will be screened as part of Experimental Self make use of experimental praxis to present women/non-men as a self which is subject rather than object.
