Free Climate Cafe- Community Transport for Sustainable Travel in NE Scotland

NESCol and online, Aberdeen, AB25 1BN

 Tue 4th February 2025 7:00PM

A critical issue if we are to reduce the carbon footprint of travel, and make a better, sustainable future is Community Transport.  Although limited services are available across the UK largely focused on people who cannot drive, services that make it easier to live without cars could help transform the sustainability of transport in the NE of Scotland. What is possible, what is being considered, what might it look like? Come and hear talks on the subject with a local perspective and ask questions of our speakers.

David Kelly, Director for Scotland, Community Transport Association- Act Local: Community Transport and Community-Led Climate Action

Jenny Milne, founder of Scottish Rural and Island Transport Community- Title TBC

Caroline Hood, North East Scotland Transport Partnership(NESTRANS)- People Power: Connecting Lives through Community Transport in Action

Each speaker will talk for 15 minutes, and after all have spoken there will be a Q&A session with both in person and online audience called to ask questions.
