AUEC is a club for riders of all abilities.  Whether you have been riding your whole life or just want to try something new we have something for everyone.

We ride every term time Wednesday at Hayfield Equestrian Centre in Aberdeen.  We have 4 different levels of lesson, beginner, novice, intermediate & advanced.  Our lessons cover a lot of riding skills from the basics to jumping a course.  We aren't always stuck in the school doing lessons we also enjoy playing pony games and going on hacks!

We also have 3 teams who compete in BUCS leagues and train at Hayfield.  The three teams compete against other universities in competitions held across the year.  The BUCS equestrian programme is unique in equestrianism as all riders must compete on borrowed horses.  This removes a barrier to participation as students do not need to own a horse.  We compete in both dressage and show jumping with the combined scores making up the final result.

As well as all of this we are a very social club who loves a good night out!  We hold regular socials across the year from fancy dress pub crawls to pot luck nights.
