???Lucia announcement???
You are herby invited to Nordic Society’s last event of 2022. St. Lucia day is a traditional Nordic holiday in celebration of light and warmth in the cold and dark winter months. The holiday also honors Saint Lucia who brought food and aid to people in need during these tough months.
On the 13th of December we will gather at 8pm in the King’s Chapel to watch the Lucia performance created by the members of our Society. The choir will perform Nordic and other classic Christmas songs. This event is completely free of charge and you do not have to be a member of the society or affiliated with the university in any way.
However, to honor St. Lucia, Nordic Society is collaborating with the Aberdeen Cyrenians; an organisation that strives to help people in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire who are facing crisis, trauma, addiction, homelessness and isolation. We will have a collection box by the entrance of the chapel and any amount of money that we collect will be donated to their cause.
