Hi everyone, welcome to our first Photography trip of the year! 

What a better way to start than by capturing the autumn (and potentially snowy) landscapes of the Cairngorms. Whether you are a beginner or experienced photographer this will be a great way for you to discover a bit of Britain's biggest National Park and have fun with the loveliest people whilst doing so!

Trip Details:

We will be travelling by bus and will meet at Union Square bus station at 8:30am (oof!) where we will take the 201 bus service from Aberdeen to Ballater.

The hike will take 4-5 hours including a lunch stop. This is a hike that is designed to be suitable for beginners but be aware that there might be snow up in the hill.

After the hike, we’ll be able to get some food in the town before travelling back to Aberdeen, arriving at approx. 8pm.

Remember to bring:
- Face mask for the bus
- Means of payment for the bus (£10.50 for students, bring student id)
- Footwear suitable for hiking
- Waterproofs
- Warm layers
- Enough water for the day
- Enough food for lunch
- A camera of your choice for great photos (we’ll bring Society cameras to let as well!)

You’re welcome to use other means of transport if you wish, just let us know and we’ll give you the address and time to be there. Please be aware of AUSA transport guidelines as well as guidelines on public transport.

Everyone is encouraged to take a free covid test before coming on the trip.
