University of Aberdeen PsychSoc welcomes all with an interest in Psychology!
Intrigued by or studying Psychology? The PsychSoc is a society for all like-minded individuals, catering to both your social and intellectual interests with additional academic and personal support. To stay up-to-date with all of our events or general information, like us on Facebook “Aberdeen Unversity Psychology Society” and follow us on Instagram on @abdnpsychsoc.
Volunteering can be an excellent source of experience and can help you develop transferable skills, regardless of the field. Here are some psychology-related volunteering opportunities that might interest you:
Aberdeen Nightline
Childline
Rape and Abuse Victim Support
Victim Support Scotland
However, not everyone has the luxury of donating their time. It is possible to find a paid job that's relevant to your field, at the NHS or CareUK for example. There are some job opportunities that are listed on AUSA that you might find interesting.
Furthermore, the School of Psychology runs the group Psychology Careers and Employability in which you can find advice and opportunities specifically for Psychology careers.
