Come along and join the Aberdeen University Concert Band for fun, friendships and a whole lot of music!

The concert band is a non-auditioned community ensemble, open to students and staff of the university, as well as anyone around and outwith the university community. The band always play a wide variety of music, from film scores to band classics and anything in between! There's something for every taste and performing ability! All we ask is that you play a brass, woodwind or percussion instrument! This semester, due to the current situation with COVID19 we are unable to host any rehearsals or a concert. However please do join us - we have plenty of exciting socials and other online activities planned. We hope that we will be able to rehearse in person next semester (fingers crossed)! We usually rehearse on a Tuesday from 6pm-8pm in Butchart Recreation Centre, conducted by Sam Paul.

In previous years the band was conducted by Eric Kidd and Mark James, performing two successful concerts in Butchart and the Beach Ballroom. Last year we performed a fantastic concert conducted by Sam Paul in St Machar Cathedral. Unfortunately our Spring 2020 concert in the Music Hall had to be postponed but don't worry, we hope to be able to perform there soon! More information on this year coming... follow us on Facebook to be kept up to date.
