The Opera Society is a student run society that is open to all students and alumni. The society is focused on providing an opportunity for students to produce and perform opera. Since its formation the society has performed many successful operas including 'Dido and Aeneas', 'The Magic Flute', 'Eugene Onegin', 'The Cunning Little Vixen', 'Le Nozze di Figaro', 'Sweeney Todd' and most recently a successful production of Bizet's 'Carmen' under the musical direction of PhD student, Théophile Krosi-Douté . Our upcoming production is Kurt Weill's 'Threepenny Opera', under the musical direction of Professor Paul Mealor and stage direction of Thomas Henderson. Auditions have taken place and we have chosen our cast and chorus. Do not hesitate to contact us with any questions regarding taking part in other ways or with any general queries.
