The Opera Society is a student run society that is open to all students and alumni. The society is focused on providing an opportunity for students to produce and perform opera. Since its formation the society has performed many successful operas including 'Dido and Aeneas', 'The Magic Flute', 'Carmen', 'Eugene Onegin', 'The Cunning Little Vixen', 'Le Nozze di Figaro' and most recently a celebrated performance of Sondheim's 'Sweeney Todd' under the musical direction of Prof. Paul Mealor. Our upcoming production is George Bizet's 'Carmen', under the musical direction of PhD student, Théophile Krosi-Douté. Auditions for cast and chorus take part between 13th - 16th of September 2017.
