Welcome to Aberdeen University Baking Society!
Who are we?
We are an inclusive community of like minded people who enjoy making and munching all kinds of baked goods. Whether you are a novice baker, an experienced baker, a fresher, or just love to eat cake, AUBS is open to everyone.
Don't forget to come and meet us during Fresher´s week or join our baking themed events. Our committee, Noah (President), Iona (Secretary), Lucy (Treasurer), and David (Wellbeing Officer) are planning lots of fun events and look forward to meeting all of you.
What do we do?
We host regular baking themed events and catch-ups for like minded students to meet, share, and make friends. Join us for our fourtnightly Cake Breaks, where we chill, chat, and share what we have baked, or come to our decorating workshops to show off your artistic talents. We also host baking contests (this is definitely not an excuse to eat more cake).
AUBS is a community that aims to improve the connections between students on campus, so be sure to come along and join in, exchange recipes and enjoy everyone's (no doubt incredible) baking.
Membership
Our society is open to both university and non-university members and for a small annual fee you can join all our events. In most cases, all costs (e.g. venue hire, ingredients, etc.) will be covered by the society. Membership is only £3 for the whole year and available through the AUSA website.

Events

Freshers Picnic - Join us on Elphinstone Lawn for the first event of the semester: a freshers picnic! Bring something you have baked and meet other students at the university.This event is free and open to all, including non-freshers. We will be there from 11am on Thursday 14th September.
