Despite being called a canoe club we don’t do much canoeing, instead, we Kayak. We will love you no matter your paddling ability, so whether you’re a newbie who doesn’t know the difference between a paddle and an oar, or you have paddled since you were born, you are welcome. We run whitewater river trips, practice sessions at ASV, compete with university clubs from across Scotland, and have carnage filled nights out in Aberdeen. So, if you are looking for adrenaline, friends and a headache then join AUCC.
Our regular pool sessions are held in the dive pool at ASV Aquatics Centre and usually finish with a trip to the pub;
We also run whitewater river trips most weekends.
We are are incredibly easy going and relaxed club, intent on just enjoying our great sport. AUCC don’t ask for full commitment from members and our trainings aren’t obligatory, making it very easy to join alongside other groups! If you’re just wanting to try out a new sport you will be welcome. Student membersips are £35 for the whole year. Non-students must get permission from the Club Captain before joining.
