Education Officer

Donna is the elected representative of students at the University of Aberdeen on all matters educational.

July Update

So officially started my role as Education Officer on the 3rd of July. Most of the first week was going through a strategic plan for manifesto. Meeting more staff from the university. All of the sabbatical officers participated in an information event for students that were attending the summer school this was followed by a quiz in Union Brew.
Lewis and I also put a response to the Widening Participation Committee with regards to a paper that had been submitted.
Met with the members of the Student Life Team. Also had meetings with regards to class reps and also with regards to student appeals. Also underwent Trustee training as all Sabbatical Officers are on the board of trustees for AUSA.
Took part in a one day very intensive media training. Also had my first meeting with Vice Principal for Teaching and Learning Professor Peter McGeorge.
Had various meetings with regards to Fresher’s Week planning. Was due to attend the Sparqs conference but due to bereavement was unable to attend.
