Quick questions

If I had to describe myself in 3 words I would use:

Empathetic, committed and (sometimes) adventurous.

Best piece of advice I’ve ever received is:

Don't waste your time on something you don't like doing. Find what makes you happy and go from there.

If I had one superpower, it would be:

Being able to fill up anything (my bank account or my fridge!)

Favourite thing to do in my spare time is:

I like to garden and plant things, but also exploring new places in cities or nature.

This year I want to achieve:

Sustainability! Not just in words, but actions.

Weekly Update (WEEK 8 19th August- 27th August)

Week 8!
-Last week, I finalised some of the details for Living Rent workshops happening in September and October. As said in my manifesto, I believe everyone should have the opportunity to know their rights as tenants and how to fight for them. If you have any issues with housing and don't know what to do. They are really good to get In contact with.

-Me and Cecilia had a chat with other Scottish universities regarding the climate strikes on 20th of September and see how we can best support them.

-Met with the Energy Manager at the University and discuss what could be done to improve the Union Building in terms of sustainability.

-Attended a meeting regarding MacRobert Building Project. At the moment, plans are to move Business School into Johnston Halls. Johnston will then be refurbished and improved to fit the needs of the school and its students. I mentioned the need to improve cyclists facilities such as cycling racks if the area is going to be used again for teaching. I also mentioned the possibility to add some benches around green spaces.
If you have any queries, questions. Please let me know or Cecilia Wallback.

-met with The Corner FoodCoop representative to finalise the moving of the corner to unit 5 and allow unit 3 to become a Food sharing Hub.

More questions, let me know!
