Wildlife Documentary Society

Hi there guys!

Welcome to the Aberdeen Wildlife Documentary Society! Here you will have loads of fun socialising with our members on fun socials and expeditions, as well as filming scenes of the natural world around us for our documentary series.

We also have loads of oppurtunities for you to film, produce and edit your own short films, and show off your nature photography skills in mini competitions. Over the year, we have invited guest speakers to come and display their own wildlife documentaries as well as talk about their own experiences in the industry and answer any questions you have. We will also be hosting small workshops to help you build up any practical biological and filming knowledge, such as species identification, mammal trapping, filming workshops, etc.

Time we meet varies, especially filming days (Full day Wednesday/Saturday/Sunday) as they depend on weather. The schedule is very loose and chill, so don't expect it to interfere with your academic life too much. PLUS! we will be hosting loads of socials for you to get to know more people as well as giving you the chance to adventure around Aberdeen and beyond!

Thank you for taking the time to read this far! (It's a lot I know), and if you have any questions, check out our Facebook page and one of the committee members will get back to you as soon as they can! If not you can email abdnwilddocsoc@aberdeen.ac.uk!

Thank you guys, and hope to see you at our freshers week event!!
