89 Scotland is a local chapter of the 89 Initative - a think-tank based at the London School of Economics. Our aim is to mobilise young Europeans in the revitalisation of the European project. In order to achieve this primary goal, the Initiative drafts policy proposals, builds intergenerational connections, and fosters a network of committed young Europeans to debate and share ideas.
Want to take active part in decision-making Europe-wide? Want to help provide solutions to current European challenges? Want the youth to have a say in European matters despite and after Brexit? We organise events like debates, roundtables and conferences where you can get to know the challenges that Europe faces and then work on proposals that will be taken to European institutions.
As a member of our society you will have to opportunity to join us for a trip to a conference in another European city once a year on a full stipend! Moreover, you can have a say in all issues concerning 89 Scotland and vote at our Annual General Meeting.
We are looking forward to see and hear from you :)
